Refund Policy

Last updated: September 23, 2026

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for Tsunagi's paid subscription(s), purchased through the app store you got Tsunagi from (currently Google Play).

1. All Payments Are Processed by the App Store, Not Us

Tsunagi's subscriptions are sold and billed exclusively through the app store's own in-app purchase / subscription system. We (Gazi Kutay KURNAZ) never receive or store your payment card details, and we do not have the technical ability to directly issue a refund to you. Only the app store can process refunds for purchases made through it. This is a platform requirement, not a choice we made.

1.1 Google Play

If you want a refund, you must request it from Google Play:

  1. Go to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, find Tsunagi, and use the options there, or
  2. Within 48 hours of purchase, you can usually request a refund directly from the Google Play Store app (Menu → Account → Order history → find the order → Report a problem / Request a refund), or
  3. Contact Google Play Support directly.

Google decides refund requests according to its own policies.

2. Subscription Cancellation

Canceling your subscription stops future renewal charges but, per the app store's standard subscription terms, does not automatically refund the current billing period; you generally keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Cancel any time from your app store's subscription settings, as described in § 1.

3. Our Own Refund Practice

Even though we cannot process refunds directly through the App, if you believe you were charged in error (e.g., a billing bug on our side, a duplicate charge, or Tsunagi failed to deliver the paid feature you subscribed for) you can email us at [email protected] with your purchase details (approximate date and order/transaction ID from your app store receipt). We will:

  • Investigate the issue, and
  • If warranted, help you file the refund request with the app store and support it, or guide you through the fastest path to a resolution on their platform.

We handle these requests in good faith but the final refund decision and payment always rest with the app store, per their platform agreement.

4. Statutory Rights (Turkey)

Under Turkish law (the Distance Contracts Regulation, based on Law No. 6502 on the Protection of Consumers), consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. However, this right typically does not apply to digital content supplied on an intangible medium once the consumer has given prior explicit consent and acknowledged the loss of the withdrawal right, or once performance of a service has begun with the consumer's consent, which the app store's purchase flow typically requires you to acknowledge at checkout. Nothing in this policy limits any statutory right you have under mandatory consumer-protection law that cannot be waived by agreement, in Turkey or in your country of residence.

5. Free Features

Tsunagi's core local-first flashcard functionality is free to use. This Refund Policy only applies to paid subscription features, if and when you purchase one.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time, for example if we introduce new purchase types. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
